Undertaken for Dooley Motors – a Private (SIMI Registered Motor Trader) Client – this project incorporated a refurbishment, and extension, to an existing Car Showroom premises, to the new Kia ‘Red Cube’ concept – the first of its kind in Ireland – with associated display, sales facilities, office, and sanitary accommodation.

The design was required to accommodate a separate, new car marque upon the same site and to be connected to the existing main office hub and workshop area. A rapid build programme was a prerequisite of the Client Brief, therefore the project was completed in approximately 3 months from commencement on-site to Practical Completion – and was additionally required to be undertaken within a live working environment (which, through careful project management, did not impinge upon the daily operations of the showroom.

The final design was required to be based upon approved Kia manufacturer building models, fenestration and branding requirements – closely implementing the Global Space Identity of Kia Motors Corporation (KMC), and bringing to showroom to the global standard on all the Kia brand dealerships.

The end result was the delivery of the ‘Red Cube’, ‘Harmony of Ellipse’, and ‘Wow Space’ design elements which aim to provide a consistent ‘look & feel’, and positive customers’ perception of the Kia brand across all markets.
