This C.J. Falconer & Associates project included the seamless internal redesign, and phased expansion to Bausch + Lomb Ireland’s 47,000m2 manufacturing facility, at the Waterford IDA Ireland Technology Park.
This medtech €50m construction project on this 18ha site consisted of a facility expansion, and internal redesign running concurrently, delivered in a live operational pharmaceutical/contact-lens manufacturing facility – and taking place within a sterile-environment. The facility will produce half a billion lenses per annum.
The project included CHP facility, Production and plant areas, ISO 8 clean rooms, laboratories, packaging and storage facilities, loading/docking stations, conference rooms, offices, and staff amenities, and LEED Accreditation.
